Instructions for translators	Tłumaczymy komunikaty programów FreeDOS na polski. Tekst ma działać w DOS-ie: ekran 80×25, strona kodowa 852. Technicznie (obowiązkowe): Sekwencje zostają 1:1: `%s` `%d` `%0`…`%9`, `\r\n`, przełączniki V8Power (`/fRed`, `/p`). Kolejność `%0`…`%9` wolno zmienić. Linia ≤ 79 znaków (Weblate pilnuje `max-length`). Wcięcia i spacje na początku linii zostają. Tylko znaki z CP852: zamiast „ ” – … piszemy " - ... Tekst z komentarzem „Celowo pusta linia” = jedna spacja. Styl (propozycja, do zatwierdzenia): Opis działania programu i przełączników: 3. osoba („Kopiuje pliki”), polecenia do użytkownika: tryb rozkazujący („Naciśnij dowolny klawisz”). Pytania neutralne: „Czy na pewno…?”. Wielkie litery jak w polskim zdaniu. Nazw poleceń, przełączników, zmiennych i skrótów (`SORT`, `/S`, `%DOSDIR%`, XMS, TSR) nie tłumaczymy. Przyciski i menu w programach okienkowych: tryb rozkazujący jak w Windows („Anuluj”, „Zapisz jako”). Przy rozbieżnościach terminologii pierwszeństwo ma Microsoft (polski MS-DOS/Windows). Terminy: komponent Słownik. Stany: „wymaga edycji” = tekst AI albo nieaktualny — popraw albo zostaw i zapisz jako przetłumaczony. Zatwierdza recenzent. Komentarz „Mazovia (Mateusz Viste, 2009)” to tłumaczenie człowieka sprzed lat — często lepsze od AI, warto z niego korzystać.
