Tłumaczymy komunikaty programów FreeDOS na polski. Tekst ma działać w DOS-ie: ekran 80×25, strona kodowa 852.

Technicznie (obowiązkowe):

  • Sekwencje zostają 1:1: %s %d %0…%9, \r\n, przełączniki V8Power (/fRed, /p). Kolejność %0…%9 wolno zmienić.
  • Linia ≤ 79 znaków (Weblate pilnuje max-length). Wcięcia i spacje na początku linii zostają.
  • Tylko znaki z CP852: zamiast „ ” – … piszemy " - ...
  • Tekst z komentarzem „Celowo pusta linia” = jedna spacja.

Styl (propozycja, do zatwierdzenia):

  • Opis działania programu i przełączników: 3. osoba („Kopiuje pliki”), polecenia do użytkownika: tryb rozkazujący („Naciśnij dowolny klawisz”).
  • Pytania neutralne: „Czy na pewno…?”. Wielkie litery jak w polskim zdaniu.
  • Nazw poleceń, przełączników, zmiennych i skrótów (SORT, /S, %DOSDIR%, XMS, TSR) nie tłumaczymy.
  • Przyciski i menu w programach okienkowych: tryb rozkazujący jak w Windows („Anuluj”, „Zapisz jako”).
  • Przy rozbieżnościach terminologii pierwszeństwo ma Microsoft (polski MS-DOS/Windows). Terminy: komponent Słownik.

Stany: „wymaga edycji” = tekst AI albo nieaktualny — popraw albo zostaw i zapisz jako przetłumaczony. Zatwierdza recenzent. Komentarz „Mazovia (Mateusz Viste, 2009)” to tłumaczenie człowieka sprzed lat — często lepsze od AI, warto z niego korzystać.
